Jiujiang University Undergraduate Publishes Research in Top-Tier International Journal

JIUJIANG, China – June 7, 2026 – Muhammad Saad Ullah, an undergraduate in Clinical Medicine (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor or Surgery) student at Jiujiang University, has achieved a notable academic milestone by publishing a research article in Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, a prestigious Q1, SCI-indexed journal.

The article, titled “The Role of MMPs in Intracerebral Hemorrhage,” was officially published on December 17, 2025 (Volume 13, Article 1667228, doi: 10.3389/fcell.2025.1667228). The paper provides critical insights into the mechanisms of intracerebral hemorrhage, a severe neurological condition that contributes to high rates of illness and mortality worldwide.

This accomplishment underscores the growing trend of undergraduate students engaging in high-impact scientific research. In recognition of this work, a formal certificate of publication was issued by the journal on June 4, 2026.
