The Internship Mobilization Meeting has been held for the 2021 batch students . The meeting was attended by Ms. Zhu Xiaojing, Deputy Dean of FIS; Mr. Wang Bin, representative from Jiujiang University Affiliated Hospital and 150 students from the 2021 batch participated.
Ms. Zhu, Deputy Dean of FIS, encouraged the students and set expectations. She urged them to make the most of their time at university and during the internship, to complete their theoretical studies seriously, to strictly follow discipline, and to plan their internship well to ensure smooth graduation. She also answered students’ questions regarding internship arrangements, graduation requirements, and HSK proficiency levels.

Mr. Wang emphasized that clinical internship is a critical step in the journey from medical student to qualified physician. He put forward four expectations for the students: First, revere life and stay true to the original aspiration—show compassion to patients, respect their privacy, and uphold medical ethics and professional conduct. Second, be diligent in practice and hone clinical skills—ask more, practice more, and think more to transform theoretical knowledge into clinical competence. Third, follow regulations and demonstrate professionalism—strictly comply with hospital rules and regulations, respect supervising doctors, and collaborate closely with colleagues. Fourth, bravely overcome language and cultural barriers—earn trust through sincerity and professionalism.

Ms. Gan elaborated on the specific requirements for internships. She detailed the list of required documents, including the Application Form for International Student Hospital Internship, copies of passport and visa, HSK Level 4 or above language certificate, health certificate, medical insurance proof, fee payment receipt, and the Confidentiality Commitment for International Interns. She also stated that the internship must last at least 48 weeks, and the internship hospital must be recognized by the Medical Council, Ministry of Health, or government authority of the respective country. Before the internship starts, students are required to submit the hospital’s Acceptance Letter or Office Order to the designated email (alumni@jju.edu.cn), submit the Mid-term Internship Evaluation Form by 25 March 2027, and after completing the internship, submit the Internship Appraisal Booklet and the Internship Certificate issued by the hospital. Ms. Jiang further supplemented the important notes for interns, including strictly observing the hospital's work schedule, following the arrangements of both the hospital and FIS, complying with medical procedures, showing respect to colleagues and patients, ensuring personal and medical safety, and adhering to the 24-hour duty system and leave request procedures. She also displayed samples of the required documents for reference.

According to the school’s plan, the 2021 batch students is the 12th cohort of medical international students enrolled by the university. They have successfully completed their on-campus theoretical studies and will soon begin clinical practice at recognized hospitals in China or in their home countries.
