Public Kitchen Rules (excerpted)
Opening hours: 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (closed after 10:00 p.m.)
1. Cleanliness
l Clean up right after cooking. Wipe the counter — no trash, water, or oil stains.
l Throw away trash properly. Put food waste and packaging in the bins. Never put trash in the sink — it blocks pipes.
l After using appliances: Wipe them clean and put them back in place.
2. Equipment and Personal Items
l Kitchen equipment is public property. Use it safely. Do not move, remove, damage, take apart, or change it.
l Take your personal items with you. Do not leave anything on the counters, sinks, windowsills, or tables. Items left behind may be thrown away without notice.
l Do not use other students' personal kitchen items without permission.
l Wash your cookware after use. Unwashed cookware found again will be confiscated and discarded without notice. Clean your cookware and store it under the table.
3. Safety
l Follow instructions for microwaves, induction cookers, and other appliances.
l Unplug appliances after use to prevent electrical hazards. Turn off the power.
l Before leaving: Turn off all appliances (except the refrigerator) and water taps, unplug power cords, tidy up, and wipe the table.
l Never leave cooking unattended. Stay in the kitchen while cooking.
l Do not put prohibited cookware on the induction cooker or in the microwave.
l Report problems. Contact the Dormitory Management Center for any failure, damage, or pest issue. Do not repair it yourself.
l No unauthorized wiring or extra sockets.
l Be quiet outside meal times. Do not disturb others studying or resting.
l Save water and electricity.
l Note: Do not cook or use high-power appliances in dorm rooms!
4. Penalties
l Breaking these rules may lead to restricted kitchen access or disciplinary action.
l If a fire is caused by breaking these rules, you are responsible for all losses, legal action may be taken.
