Tips on Email Etiquette
Any requests or inquiries, please email to fis@jju.edu.cn, would only be answered or responded in Email. Please pay attention to the Email Etiquette:
l Write a SMART subject line after you’ve written your message.
l Format messages attractively, using full words, full sentences, and with a space between each paragraph.
l Learn the importance of structuring your messages logically.
l Never use ALL CAPITALS for any part of your message.
l Include an appropriate greeting and closing section. Don’t begin professional emails with greetings like “hey” or “yo.” Use “dear” in formal business correspondence.
l If your email is complex, with lots of moving parts, consider writing a detailed brief and attaching it as a Doc. or pdf. Add a note in the body of the email about the attachment, such as "I am sending you the December 2018 sales figures in a file called Dec2018.xls" . And name the attachment properly please.
l Do not send the same email or the same subject again and again.
l Improper or ambiguous email / request will be ignored.
