Reminder for Winter Vacation

1. Please be informed that the Faculty of International Studies will be closed for Winter Vacation from January 17, 2025 to February 14, 2025. The first CLASS in classroom of next semester is February 17, 2025. You are required to be back Jiujiang University and to be prepared for Spring Semester Study before February 16, 2025.

2. According to the International Student Dormitory Rules, the international student should access the hostel gate and come back before 11:00 pm every night. Climbing fence or overnight stay outside the dormitory are prohibited. Any violator will be punished immediately. Every students are requested to follow dormitory rules all the time: NO COOKING, NO SOMOKING. To facilitate students’ daily life, the Public Kitchen will open on January 17, 2025. 3. Please take care of your belongings in your bedrooms, do not leave or spread stuff in your bedroom and put all your belongings into suitcase or cabinet and lock them. Please give one replicate key to Hostel Manager, otherwise your LOCK will be replaced with a new LOCK (10 Yuan RMB paid by the residents).

4. Tips and warnings to all students in the Winter Vacation and for good:

l Obey Chinese laws and follow JJU rules and regulations, and maintain public image of international students.

l Be aware of the danger of fire, water, traffic, scam, crime, etc. Do not stay overnight outside campus or swim in lakes or rivers. 

l Driving car and motorcycle without license on-and-off campus is totally prohibited.

l Maintain proper health awareness and develop a healthy lifestyle. Seek a doctor’s medical attention in time can help you avoid some serious complications. Have a reasonable diet. Exercise regularly. Keep a good mental health. Say no to some unhealthy lifestyles, for instance, excessive smoking & drinking, long-term staying up late, lack of physical exercises and drug addiction. Maintain personal hygiene and keep the room ventilated and clean to prevent from infecting diseases.

5. Please utilize the 30 days in Winter Vacation to get prepared for HSK TEST and Make-up EXAM or re-exam.

l March 9 is the 1st Test Date of HSK and February 27 is the Deadline of Test Registration. HSK 4 SCORE REPORT & TEST RESULT is compulsory to apply for the Provincial scholarships. Those who haven’t got the related HSK report or required score will be imposed restrictions on further Medical Courses Study unless get HSK passed.

l Make-up Exam (off-line only) will be arranged for 2021, 2022 batch who fail in this semester final exam in early March.

7. If you wish to travel outside of the Jiujiang area during Winter Vacation, it is compulsory that you Inform the Faculty of International Studies beforehand to allow FIS to contact you for emergency situation and pay attention to your own safety. Ask for permission in Application for leave FORM (annex 2) 20250113applicationforleave.pdf  specify the places and the duration, and inform your family of the traveling details.
