Reminder for Spring Term

Attendance: Residence Permit (RP) / Visa (Extension) Application will be declined if your attendance rate is lower than 50%. Students shall comply with the attendance regulations, or face the following punishments: ①2 points will be deducted for missing one class, and 1 point for arriving late or leaving early each time. ②In one semester, a student, whose duration of absence, and sick or event leave reaches 1/3 of the class of each subject, has no qualification for the subject final exam, and the subject retake is a must. ③ A student, whose class amount of absence, sick or event leave reaches 1/3 of the total class amount for one semester, is subject to stay down or expulsion.

Leave Application: After the School’s opening on February 17, please apply for leave and fill in the Application Form for Leave of International Students, print out and sign, process the procedure step by step. Only for emergency, fill in the form with a computer and rename with your Name, send directly to fis@jju.edu.cn as the attachment. Late supplementary application for leave is not accepted. Contacting and confirming with your parents is requisite for long-term Leave. The FIS will not issue NOC & TRANSCRIPT to any student who is expelled or punished with study qualification cancellation due to his/her leaving the university without permission. Students who leave out of Jiujiang city should ask for leave application and get approved from the Student Affairs Office. Students, who cannot continue study due to serious disease, infectious disease or other personal reasons, shall apply for Suspension or Withdrawal.

HSK: Chinese Learning shall be the first priority and take Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) at the recognized test center. International students who major in programs taught in Chinese should pass HSK Level 5 upon graduation, programs taught in English or bilingual should pass HSK 4 upon graduation. HSK Level-4 is a must for the application to Jiujiang University affiliated Hospital for internship & clinical rotation.

Room Check: Any smoke detector alarm will be immediately displayed on the monitoring screen in the duty room of the Security Department at JJU, and detailed records will be maintained, the related bedrooms will be checked at any time and the cooking utensils and other prohibited appliances will be confiscated. Please give one replicate key to Hostel Manager, otherwise your LOCK will be replaced with a new LOCK (10 Yuan RMB paid by the residents).

Fees: Every September each student should clear the tuition fee and accommodation fee, otherwise, the study qualification will be canceled or the student will be expelled.

Other reminders: Be aware of the danger of fire, water, traffic, scam, crime, etc. Do not stay overnight outside campus or swim in lakes or rivers. Driving car and motorcycle without license on-and-off campus is totally prohibited.
