Reminder on the Cancellation of Student Status

To all students of the 2021 BDS cohort and earlier cohorts,

Pursuant to the Academic Implementation Regulations for International Students (Chapter 2 Academic System and Study Period: Article 5 The academic system for international students combines a standard duration with a flexible duration. The standard duration for undergraduate studies in Medical Science is six years, and for other undergraduate majors, it is four years. Article 6 Students who fail to complete their studies within the standard duration may apply to extend their study period, with a cumulative extension not exceeding two years. )

Students of the 2021 BDS cohort and earlier cohorts are eligible to apply for a two-year extension of their study period.

All eligible students are strongly advised to satisfy all required and stipulated conditions for the conferral of a bachelor's degree in accordance with the regulations.

Step 1: Complete the relevant fee payment by 15 July 2026 (for students undertaking internships outside China, the tuition fee is RMB 5,000 per academic year).

Step 2: Submit an application for status alteration via the required documentation:  ApplicationFormofStatusAlteration20250119.docx by 25 August 2026.

Students who fail Bachelor’s Degree Conferral Conditions to satisfy the relevant requirements and do not submit the Study Period Extension required application before 25 August 2026 will be deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn from study, and their student status will be canceled accordingly.
