Jiujiang University's Faculty of International Studies Hosts 2026 Orientation for New International Students
Jiujiang, Sept. 10 (Gan Lin) — The Faculty of International Studies of Jiujiang University held its 2026 Orientation Activity for New International Students on the morning of Sept. 10 in Room 404 of the Lixin Building. More than 80 international freshmen from around the world gathered to begin their "first class" for study and life in China.

The orientation covered four main areas: student affairs, academic regulations, campus behavioral guidelines, and mental health. Zhu Xiaojing, vice dean of the college, gave a detailed briefing on daily management matters including dormitory safety, attendance and leave procedures, extracurricular activities, and scholarship selection. Gan Lin, head of the Academic Affairs Section, stressed classroom discipline and exam integrity. Ni Jing, a psychology specialist, delivered an interactive lecture on emotional management, guiding students to view problems from multiple perspectives. The session drew an enthusiastic response from the audience.
Shuai Shiyi, dean of the college, introduced the campus behavioral guidelines for international students and offered guidance on study and life for the new semester. He encouraged students to value their physical and mental health, keep running to relieve stress and stay fit, and suggested that each freshman send a personal introduction and study plan by email so the college can better provide support and services.
LE VU TUAN, an international student from Vietnam, said the orientation gave him a comprehensive understanding of what to pay attention to in his studies and life in China for the new semester, and that it was very meaningful.

Orientation for new students is a regular part of the college's work. At 9 a.m. on Sept. 11, the college organized a campus tour, leading freshmen to visit the School of Basic Medical Sciences and Medical Innovation Center, the library, the experimental center (HSK test venue), teaching buildings, sports venues, and dining halls, helping international students get familiar with the campus and integrate into campus life as soon as possible.
