At present, China is currently at a critical stage fighting against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). With more and more cases reported in many countries around the world, the WHO has recently raised the global risk level of the new epidemic from “high” to “very high”.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, you have actively supported the prevention and control work of the Chinese government, fully complied with JJU’s epidemic prevention regulations, and provided feedback on personal information in a timely manner. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support. Your safety and health are our greatest concern. Although most of international students are not in China at the moment, we still hope you will take good care of yourself and your family and work with us to cope with the challenge of the epidemic. Therefore, we call on you to cooperate with us in the following work:
First, the spring semester is postponed, please do not return to school in advance.
According to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, JJU has postponed the start of the spring semester as a key measure to contain the virus. Though inconvenient it may be, we require you, for the sake of your personal health and public security, not to return to school early. The specific starting time and subsequent work arrangements will be notified in a timely manner. You are not allowed to return to Jiujiang without approval. Violation of this policy will incur serious discipline punishment by the University!
Second, enhance safety awareness and take necessary precaution.
Students who have left school should always pay attention to your health, take strict protective measures, wash hands frequently, keep regular disinfection and ventilation, wear masks when traveling, and take appropriate physical exercises reasonably.
Students who are still in school please cooperate with the school to complete the temperature measurement and other work. Try to avoid gathering, and wear masks when going out of the rooms.
Students who are about to return to their own countries should inform the supervisors in advance and go through relevant procedures to protect yourselves when traveling.
If you are currently in a country or region with a high incidence of the epidemic, please stay where you are, do not move across regions, and take all necessary precautions to avoid mass gatherings to keep off the virus.
Third, keep the information flow, close contact with the school.
The school has arranged for supervisors to communicate with the students. Please keep in close contact with the school and your supervisors and keep abreast of relevant school information.
At present, the school is running actively to fight against the epidemic, and the following online teachings are under way for all international students of each batch. We hope that the students will cherish the time, study independently and gain something worthy through your hard work and determination.
Dear students, in the spring time of March, we are looking forward to winning this war against the epidemic together. When the day of triumph arrives, JJU looks forward to welcoming you back in Jiujiang safe and sound. Thank you for your understanding and support!
